Donna Keane, Motoring Advisor.
Have you worked in the automotive industry before? What brought you to the MINI team?
I started with the company in the accounting department over 10 years ago. Part of my daily tasks involved visiting the 12 dealerships we had on the complex. I visited MINI daily for about a year and a half and loved the excitement in the store, both from the customer’s perspective and the staff’s perspective. I decided to give sales a shot. That was almost nine years ago. I am so glad I did because I love coming to work every day.
Why should a person work for a MINI dealer over other car dealers?
MINI is unique and fun, not just an ordinary boring car.
What is the most exciting or best part about your job?
The best part of my job is definitely my customers. Each is like a family member to me and not just someone who bought a car from me.
What types of training are offered to the MINI dealer staff?
MINI training representatives come to our store to help train us, but my sales managers are my biggest coaches. They are very hands on helping me with questions I might have.
MINI of Warwick was ranked #3 on the list of the 100 Best Dealerships to Work For 2017. What’s the secret of success?
Being a family and treating one another that way.
